First of all you be aware of your current state of health and fitness. Know your numbers like height, weight, waist circumference, BP, Blood sugar etc. There are some simple ways to test your fitness levels. For example if you are fit you should be able to hold your breath for at least one minute at least.
Second step is to have nutritious balanced diet. Choose a diet plan which is best suitable for your lifestyle and is based on your nutrition needs.
Third be more active and exercise regularly. Exercise your heart and lungs, joints and ligaments and strengthen your muscles. Choose Exercises which will improve your stamina, strength and flexibility.
Forth, learn to manage your mind. Be mindful, accept the reality and develop a problem solving attitude. For this, learn some coping techniques like deep breathing, meditation, restful sleep and prayers. Try to have work – life balance. Set realistic financial and occupational goals. Keep updating your skill sets and knowledge.
Number five, avoid dependencies like smoking and alcohol etc.
Sixth, practice good hygiene and follow the safety guidelines.
Lastly, try to develop healthy social and environmental surroundings.
